Bulk SMS is one text sent to many people at once: a price change, a delivery notice, a meeting reminder or an appointment confirmation. On NewHope SMS you write the message once, choose who receives it, and the platform sends a separate SMS to every number.
Messages are delivered to Tanzanian mobile numbers (numbers starting +255 6 or +255 7). Other countries are not supported today; see our coverage page for the details.

Import numbers from a CSV file into a named list (for example "Customers" or "Parents Class 5") and send to the whole list in one step.
Upload a CSV or Excel (XLSX) file of phone numbers together with your message. Numbers that are not valid Tanzanian numbers are skipped.
A standard SMS part holds 160 characters. A message with emoji or special characters holds 70 per part. Longer messages are joined from several parts, up to 918 characters (six parts), and each part is billed. The dashboard shows how many parts your message uses so the cost is no surprise.
Sending uses SMS credits that you buy in advance. The price per SMS depends on the size of the purchase: the more credits you buy at once, the lower the price. The current tiers are below, and the pricing page has a calculator.
Every message gets a status: pending, sent, delivered or failed. You can review them in the dashboard and download usage reports as PDF. Read more about delivery reports.
