Sending is only half of messaging. NewHope SMS records what happened to every message, so you can see which ones arrived, which failed and what the campaign cost.

The message is accepted and waiting to be sent, for example a scheduled message.
The message has been handed over for delivery.
A delivery report confirmed that the message reached the phone.
The message could not be delivered, for example because the number was not valid or reachable.
Open SMS Reports to see your messages with their recipient, Sender ID and status, and to search or filter them by status. You can also download usage reports and purchase statements as PDF documents for your records.
When you send a message with the API you can include a webhook_url. When the delivery update arrives, NewHope SMS forwards it to that address, so your own system can mark a message as delivered or failed without asking again and again. You can also read the status of a message with a normal API request. The exact fields are in the API documentation.
A delivered status means the network confirmed delivery to the handset. It does not mean the person read the message. Some networks and phones do not return a final report quickly, so a message can stay at "sent" for a while.
Each message has a status in your dashboard: pending, sent, delivered or failed. API users can also receive the update on a webhook.
